Two teenage boys wearing masks and carrying paintball guns caused their neighbors to alert police of suspicious activity, The Galveston County Daily News reported.
From the story:
After a caller told police she saw two men in masks driving through the neighborhood, Friendswood police locked down the streets leading into the Forest of Friendswood subdivision near FM 2351.
Two boys eventually were found in a drainage ditch, wearing their paintball gear and prepared for battle.
Though paintball guns and air guns are prohibited in Friendswood, police did not issue a citation, according to the newspaper.
The area had recently experienced a string of home invasions, so officers were on alert and patrolled the streets after the neighbor’s report, Police Chief Bob Wieners told the Daily News.
Earlier this month, a man shot a League City resident in his home, and in November, a father and daughter were killed in a home invasion.
